Our terms

Quotes

Every job is quoted before we load anything, from your photos or a visit. The quote covers what's in the photos. If there's more on the day, we tell you the extra before we load it, and we only take it if you agree.

Payment

The balance is paid in full when the job is done, before we leave, by bank transfer, card or cash.

Jobs over $500 need a 20% deposit to book the date.

If the balance isn't paid on the day, we send an invoice due within 7 days. If it's still unpaid after that, we may add our reasonable costs of recovering the debt.

Cancelling or moving a job

Free up to 24 hours before the booked time. Inside 24 hours we keep the deposit to cover the time we held for you. If we cancel, you get the full deposit back.

What you confirm

You own the items, or you have the owner's permission to get rid of them. We can get to them safely, and you've told us about anything very heavy, fragile or hazardous.

What we won't take

We won't take asbestos, chemicals, paint, gas bottles, fuel, medical waste or needles. If we find any, we leave them where they are and tell you.

Who owns the items

Once an item is loaded, it belongs to Hauled. We may donate, sell, recycle or dispose of it at a proper drop-off point. Please take out anything you want to keep first, including photos, documents and valuables.

Care and your rights

We take reasonable care of your property. Tell us about any damage on the day so we can sort it out with you. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
