Suburbs we cover in Melbourne's north

We're based in Wollert and work across three councils. Your council sets the rules for its hard rubbish collection, so here's what to know for yours.

City of Whittlesea

Wollert, Epping, South Morang, Mill Park, Lalor, Thomastown, Bundoora

Two free hard rubbish collections a year, up to 3 cubic metres each, booked through the council. Allow up to four weeks. E-waste, garden waste, cardboard and building materials aren't collected. The council has no tip of its own; residents use the Wollert landfill on Bridge Inn Road.

Hume City

Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Greenvale, Campbellfield, Somerton, Coolaroo, Meadow Heights, Broadmeadows, Dallas, Westmeadows, Attwood

Hard waste runs on vouchers: 10 cubic metres a year, 2 cubic metres a voucher, up to 4 per booking. Whitegoods and e-waste are collected. Hume's Bolinda Road tip in Campbellfield is open 8am to 4pm, 7 days, and Clean Days on the first weekend of March, June, September and December take couches and mattresses free.

Merri-bek

Fawkner, Glenroy

Either two collections of 1 cubic metre or one of 2 cubic metres a year, booked with the council's contractor, usually 2 to 4 weeks out. One mattress and base per household. Rubbish left out without a booking can be fined.
